Cross Curricular Values Education Workshops In Schools

All cre8.ed artists visiting schools have professional educational experience as well as being current practitioners in their art form - drama, dance, music and visual art.

Cross Curricular

Through practical classroom-based workshops cre8.ed teams will

  • help meet National Curriculum requirements and develop creative thinking skills
  • set spiritual, moral, social and cultural development in the context of the whole curriculum
  • explore articles, stories or biblical texts with pupils of all faiths and none
  • strengthen your school community and encourage pupil responsiveness to social issues and community service
  • develop imagination and learning through creative thinking skills
  • give staff the opportunity to learn new skills and stimulate new ideas through both classwork and INSET
  • provide an opportunity to host a ‘cluster’ INSET session with other local schools
  • improve communication and teamwork

How does it work?

We believe it is important to tailor what we offer as much as possible to your situation. The cre8.ed office and/or arts consultants will discuss your requirements at all stages of the booking.

cre8.ed artists can work with the same group of pupils (up to a maximum of 30 at a time) throughout the day, covering the chosen theme in depth. Another possibility is for the artists to repeat a workshop session with several different classes of pupils, and so maximise the number of pupils involved.

Teachers remain with the pupils throughout the day and there is an optional INSET session for staff at the end to develop the learning methodologies used by artists with pupils.

Values - secondary

Post 16 Arts Days can involve the whole year group - dividing into smaller groups for practical arts activity sessions.

cre8.ed artists have also worked with schools over longer periods of time meeting points on the school development plan, helping to develop curriculum areas and the community life of the school.
